Bed stillages and stillages for bed parts and accessories – frames, springs etc. – are a key part of our offer at JS Burgess Engineering Ltd. We currently work for one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of beds, as well as a number of tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers to the bed manufacturing industry.
As well as stillages designed to assist in logistics and freight transport, we can also produce a range of racking as well as bins for use in recycling and maneuvering within warehouses and shop-floors. We are able to produce bespoke stillages and racking to suit the needs of a range of applications, and we specialise in completing large production runs in order to increase efficiency and take advantage of economies of scale.
Our bed stillages can be produced from a range of materials (typically steel) and may be finished in numerous ways – for instance utilising galvanisation, powder coating, or including elements of dunnage – depending on the final expected application of the apparatus in question.
We offer a range of services to potential clients. These include end to end management of the manufacturing process including an initial consultation, design of the stillages (if a bespoke design is required), large scale production runs and finishing. We have our own specialist team of CAD designers and an in-house workshop in which we undertake all welding and manufacturing elements.
Additionally, we also offer a range of repair and refurbishment services. These could include fixing stillages which have fallen in to disrepair and have become a health and safety risk, as well as re-purposing stillages for a different use if required.
With all of our clients, including those looking for bed stillages, cages, bins and racking, we look to become a part of the logistical process. Much of our work is repeat business and we are integrated in to many of our customers’ business to allow for quick turnarounds of high quality stillages.
