HSE safety alerts have highlighted a serious common skip hazard: false hook engagement, where a skip is lifted from the wrong point, such as a projecting lip, rather than the intended catch bar. This can cause skips to swing uncontrollably or release mid-air. Our skips comply with CHEM TS 14, which specifies:

No base plate projection in hook zones
Properly located and profiled catch bars
