Types of Trailer for Stillage Delivery
Our team has enormous logistical experience and can help advise on transport systems to get stillages to your site on time. Here are some of the common types of trailer that are used:
Stepped Flat Bed or Step Deck Trailer
Step deck trailers allow J S Burgess to gain additional height which means that more stillages can be loaded on to wagon which results in lower transport costs for the customer. The above image shows a computer model of a step deck trailer loaded with extrusion stillages which the design team occasionally use to calculate the maximum loading and height for a given trailer.
Flat Bed Trailer
Flat Bed Trailers are used when additional height capacity is not used. Typically stillages are loaded by Burgess employees and strapped down by the haulage company.
Curtain Siders
If you have your own curtain side wagons, these can be loaded by our skilled FLT operatives.
No matter what type of stillage, trolley or bin you require, we have 15+ years of experience of arranging transport and logistics to get products to you on time and on spec.
