Operations Assistant

JS Burgess Engineering Ltd has been established for over 25 years and is one of the largest most respected stillage manufactures in the UK supplying the building and automotive industry. We are ISO9001 compliant and make tens of thousands of stillages, cages and bins etc. each year.
Job Description:
- Supporting Operations Manager
- Purchasing components, spares, consumables etc.
- Stores & Stock control
- Goods in/out
- General housekeeping
- H&S
- Amending and creating Auto-cad drawings,
- Overseeing general maintenance of machinery, FLT’s and equipment etc., liaising with suppliers and engineers regarding repairs and follow-up servicing, testing etc.
The successful candidate will need to be numerate, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to work well both within a team and on their own initiative, be computer literate, with experience in Microsoft Word & Excel and AutoCAD; We would be prepared to offer AutoCAD training if the successful candidate meets all our other criteria but has no experience in AutoCAD. The successful candidate will have a basic knowledge of engineering processes, plant and machinery. Practical engineering or fabrication experience would be an advantage.
We are looking to offer a salary of between £20,000 to £25,000 per annum depending on experience.
