Glass Handling Equipment

Our Handling Equipment

JS Burgess is proud to provide bespoke A-Frame and L-Frame handling equipment to our clients, designed to handle panel-type products such as glass and modules.

Due to the nature of the work that glass handling equipment is used for, it requires hard-wearing and durable materials to ensure they are correctly supported and last in the most demanding environmental conditions. We use several different materials in our designs, all of which have been chosen to ensure products are of the highest quality for our customers, including Marine Ply and Mesh-Faced Birch Timber, also known as Buffalo Board, on the base and PAR Timber on the backboards to ensure longevity. The material is water resistant, anti-slip and doesn’t deteriorate quickly, making it cost-effective and the perfect solution for our customers’ needs.

A-Frames

Our glass handling A-Frames are designed to bear weight in an economical manner. Where frames are to be lifted via lifting hooks, they are proof-load tested by our third-party LEEA-certified testing partners and thoroughly inspected before they are given a “Manufacturer’s Certificate of Conformity”.

L-Frames

L-Frames are often required by organisations with site-specific rules. They have a shelf to one side, allowing their flat storage against a wall or in a warehouse racking system when they are not in use for glass lifting.
